Sich selbst verstärkende Klartraum-Techniken

Liebe Gemeinde,

I IM TRAUM
########
1. Erinnerungstechnik
Zitat:"Most people do not fully appreciate the important role memory plays in lucid dream development. Yet this one factor alone, can lead to the highest level, and most frequent lucid dreams possible. If people had just 10% of their waking memory intact as they entered a dream, they would almost certainly achieve lucidity. Memory (or lack thereof) acts as a wall that separates the physical world from the dream world: a wall that prevents access to the unknown secrets of the subconscious."

http://www.klartraumforum.de/forum/showt...hp?tid=740

II IM HYPNAGOGEN ZUSTAND:[size=small]
############

Was soll ich sagen. Ist die Wortwahl so wichtig?

@Fallout:

http://de.wikibooks.org/wiki/Klartraum:_Techniken#LILD

@Luzidist:

z.B. Sleigh of Mouth:

Hehe, wikibooks. Ob man da wirklich dauerhaft was lernen könnte.

Gute Arbeit!

Jap, die waybackmachine hilft big
Zitat:Breaking Down the Wall

Most people do not fully appreciate the important role memory plays in lucid dream development. Yet this one factor alone, can lead to the highest level, and most frequent lucid dreams possible. If people had just 10% of their waking memory intact as they entered a dream, they would almost certainly achieve lucidity. Memory (or lack thereof) acts as a wall that separates the physical world from the dream world: a wall that prevents access to the unknown secrets of the subconscious. Most people rarely remember their dream experiences after awakening and of those who do, only a tiny fraction can remember the details of their physical experiences once within a dream. Learning to access your physical memories while within a lucid dream will lead to a transformation of your lucid abilities. Beyond a dramatic increase in dream recall and lucid dream frequency, your increased mental clarity and reasoning abilities will allow for more advanced techniques and exercises to be successfully carried out within your dreams.

The following exercise will bring your physical memories into your dreams and in doing so will lead you one step closer to mastering lucid dreaming. You must perform this exercise from within a lucid dream and you should do it as frequently as possible until it is mastered.

Note that this particular skill set is developed in the early ranks of the black belt club and becoming proficient is the first step to participating in, and becoming proficient at, some extremely interesting and advanced techniques.

General guidelines:

1. Only one exercise should be performed on any one night of lucid dreaming. Your goal should be to have the exercise continue for the entire length of the dream.

2. “Seeing” something is not the same as remembering it. In order to be considered successful, the memories must be described using as many adjectives, qualifiers, and emotional words as possible.

3. Try to remember both factual and experienced based memories. Factual memories are things like names, numbers (phone numbers, addresses, etc), sizes, colors, etc. Experienced based memories are much more personal and are related to actual events in your life: what you did, why you did it, how you felt, why it was important, what happened as a result, and so on. Try to use experienced based memories as the basis for the exercise but include factual information as you described the events.

4. As you prepare for your lucid dream, choose a reference point as the basis for your memories. The reference point is the keyword that you will carry into the dream that acts as the starting point for the exercise. Usually this would be a person, place, or thing. For example, I might choose my house as the reference point. When I enter the dream I might start the exercise by asking myself, “What memories come to mind when I think about my house?” Another example would be a friend’s name and when you enter the dream ask yourself’ “what do I think of when I think of _____?”

5. Alternate between short term memory and long term memory. Dedicate one night’s exercise to memories that happened at least six months prior and then follow up the next night by focusing on memories that occurred within the last two days. In general, short term memories are harder to recall from within dreams but learning to do so has a profound effect on the frequency that you will experience lucid dreams. Learning to access your long term memories will have a significant impact on the amount of mental clarity and focus you experience once within a dream.

6. Build on each success. The first time you try this exercise, count how many memories you were able to accurately recall. The second time, try to recall more memories than you did in the first; the third, more than the second, and so on until you can spend 30 minutes or more accurately remembering.

7. Perform the exercise as often as possible. Once or twice a week for a couple of months will reap huge rewards.

Basic Procedure:

1. Choose your reference

As mentioned previously, the reference is the keyword that you will carry with you into the dream. You will use it as the starting point for the exercise. Usually the reference is a person’s name, a familiar place, a personal item, or a few keywords that describe something that happened.

2. Reminisce as you drift off to sleep

Although you shouldn’t try to rehearse what your actual memories will be once within a dream, it is helpful to reminisce as drift off to sleep. Think about your reference point and let your mind randomly respond to it by letting visual memories form as you lie in bed. In this case try to think visually rather than in words. Thinking in words can significantly prolong the time you lie awake at night.

3. Once you’re in a dream, tell stories out loud about your memories

Now that you’re in the dream, talk to yourself. Verbally recall the memories but allow your visual memory to function as well. Become a great story teller. Use lots of adjectives and try to include your sense of humor. If there are dream characters around, talk to them and tell them your memories.

4. Try to visually remember the details of the memory as you tell the story

If you can visually remember while also verbally remembering, the dream will transform into a reenactment of the memory.

5. Keep moving

Standing still and trying to recall your memories will most likely bring an abrupt end to your lucid dream (at least in the beginning). You tend to lose your connection to the actual dream elements. One way to avoid this is to keep moving. If your tactile sensations keep functioning, the dream will continue. Walk, run, jump, spin, or whatever you like, but keep on moving. Try to keep your motions active instead of passive. A passive motion is one in which your entire body moves as a single unit instead of having the individual parts move independently. For example, floating up in the air with your arms and legs remaining more or less motionless is one type of passive motion. Actively move through the dreamscape as you recall your memories and your dream will continue.

Example 1: Describing a familiar Place

In preparation of a lucid dream, pick out a place that you know well and set your intention to remember as many details about the place as possible while within the dream. As you transition into the dream, visualize the location you have chosen. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself at the location when the transition is complete. Begin to tell yourself everything you remember about the spot. Try to go beyond the obvious factual type of information (size, color, etc) and get into a much more personal and detailed account. Remind yourself of what you like about this place, why it is special to you, how the place has made an impact on your life. If you are a visual thinker, the mere memory of the location will bring it into the dream in which case you can walk around and study it as you reminisce. It is important to tell yourself the memories however, so keep talking as you walk. Pick a location that has enough detail that you will be able to spend a good bit time remembering it. The place where you live is an obvious starting point. Go room by room and describe what you remember. Notice how the dream transforms as you actively bring your memories in.

Example 2: Describe what you did that day.

Short term, day to day memories are more difficult to remember from within a lucid dream than any other type of memory. It may take you a few attempts before you start to make progress with this particular exercise. As you prepare for your lucid dream, set your intention to remember as many details about your day as you can. Pick one specific activity as your point of reference and visualize it as you transition into the dream. This reference point should be something that happened early on in the day. For example your reference point might be taking a shower, driving to work, or getting the kids on the bus in the morning, etc. Once in the dream use the reference point as the starting point for your account. Go through the day step by step and describe what you remember. Go beyond the matter of fact type of account (got up, drove to work, ate lunch, drove home, etc) and get into the details. Include personal information: how did you feel when you drove to work; were you tired; were you thinking about some problem you have to face. Ask yourself questions like, “What did I like about today?; Did I laugh?; What was the best part of my day… the worst, etc. Try to tap into your visual memory if you can and watch what happens to the dream.

This exercise is not easy. Most people have trouble recounting their daily activities even when they’re awake and on top of that fact, you will have a dream that is fighting for your attention. If you can succeed with this exercise however, the payoff is big.

Example 3: Describe a familiar person.

In preparation for a lucid dream choose a person whom you know well and which you want to be the focus of this exercise. Visualize the person as you transition into the dream. Once in the dream begin to remember and describe that person in detail. Don’t be surprised if the person suddenly makes an appearance. If they do, talk to them and tell them what you are remembering. Don’t just say the physical characteristics (hair color, height, etc), focus instead on the memories that you share together. You might also include comments about the things the person likes to do, what makes them happy or special, and so on. The more specific the information the better.

Example 4: Describe a memory from your more distant past.

Successfully completing this exercise will lead to some wonderfully rewarding experiences that you will never forget. As you prepare for a lucid dream, pick out a strong memory from an event that occurred a year or more earlier. Pick some specific part of the memory to use as a reference point and visualize that point as you transition into the dream. Once in the dream use the reference point as the starting point to reminisce about the event. Explain more than just what happened; explain how you felt, why it was important, how it affected your life, and so on. Try to visualize the event and see how the dream responds. If the dream starts to reenact the memory, let it do so but don’t get caught off guard when the dream suddenly goes its own direction. Keep describing the details as they really happened and the dream will keep responding. With practice you can actively relive memories in way that is difficult to imagine. You may notice details that you didn’t realize that you knew or you may be able to carry the event beyond where your memory had already faded. After a few successful attempts, try going further back in time; 5 years, 10 years, to when you were a child, etc.

Tips:

Each success chips away at the wall. With each success, the exercise becomes easier.

If you lose touch with the dream elements during an exercise you will most likely accidentally exit the lucid dream (i.e. wake up). For example, if you enter a lucid dream and simply start shouting out facts about the thing you are trying to remember, you will have broken any connection that you had with the dream and the experience will most likely come to an abrupt end. Don’t let this frustrate you. Learning to overcome this obstacle is another important skill that must be developed in order to carry out more advanced exercises.

One way to stay engaged in the dream is to strike up a conversation with a dream character. For example, I was having a lucid dream where I found myself in a crowded hotel lobby; I walked through a door and saw I a busboy busy folding towels. He had a huge pile of unfolded towels in front of him so I went over and picked up a towel and started folding it. I glanced over and said, “Did I ever tell you about the time I went hiking in the Allegany Mountains with my friends”. I described the events for several minutes while we folded towels together. The dream suddenly changed and I was standing in the forest with the two friends that were with me in my story. I just kept talking. I turned to my one friend and said, “And remember how you almost fell off that huge freaking rock”? etc, etc, etc

Use lots of adjectives, qualifiers, and emotional triggers. Tell stories instead of facts. Instead of saying “The room has yellow walls”, say something more meaningful “I remember painting the family room walls. My wife loved that yellow color but I was sure it was going to look lousy. I have to admit she was right. The yellow really highlights the painting above of the fireplace and brightens up the room. And speaking of that painting etc, etc, etc.

.

Good luck! If you can master this exercise you should seriously consider joining the AdvancedLD black belt club (see below). You will have proven that you have the type of potential we are looking for. AdvancedLD encourages you to go beyond the typical lucid dream joy ride that most people strive for and learn how to tap into your hidden potentials.
